There is an old trail in the utility right-of-way leading to Stratton Woods Park. It is proposed to pave this trail and connect the old trail to the crossing of Monroe Manor Drive. There is an asphalt trail south from this location. This will give residents of the area better access to Stratton Woods Park and nearby sidewalks. It will also provide access to the Herndon-Monroe bus terminal via the Reston Association trails system. The existing trail south of Monroe Manor Drive receives heavy pedestrian usage. This project requires the approval of the existing homeowners association which owns the land where the old trail lies.
