The trail turns left to follow the stream. The trail is muddy in spots here.

The trail turns right to climb a hill up to a dam.

The trail from the left is an alternate route on the hill to avoid the mud at the bottom. Continue straight on the current trail.

The trail to the right goes up the hill to avoid the mud to provide an alternate route. The CCT goes straight along the left trail.
