Meet
Brooksie, a 10 year old golden retriever. Brooksie likes to take walks along
the Bright Pond dam where she finds the grass very tasty. You may not notice
anything unusual about Brooksie but she is a cancer survivor.
If you look closely you will see that Brooksie is missing a rear leg. She
walks with a slight limp that most people don't notice and acts like any other
dog. Dogs have the remarkable quality to live their life without letting their
handicaps overcome them. Maybe dogs can teach us all something.
You can meet Brooksie at point 16 on the Bright Pond walk in the morning.
