Follow the asphalt service road past the vehicle barrier at Hooes Rd.

An asphalt trail splits off from the service road. Go right to follow that path up the hill.

The trail joins the Lake Mercer loop trail at point 11 on the map. Go straight on the asphalt trail past the barrier. Go to point 12 in the directions.
