The walk starts on the asphalt trail leading from the gravel parking lot next to the furthest building from the park entrance.

A dirt trail intersects from the left. Continue on the asphalt trail.

An asphalt trail intersects from the left. Turn left and follow that trail.

After turning left the trail follows South Run.

After turning right a dirt trail intersects from the left. This is part of a loop trail around the lake. Continue straight on the asphalt trail.

The trail crosses a narrow bridge over South Run.

After crossing the bridge turn left onto the intersecting asphalt trail to continue following South Run.
