Directions:
This walk starts at the Glade Recreation Center and follows the Snakeden Branch to take a short walk through Deepwood. It returns via the other side of the Snakeden Branch. It travels primarily on paved surfaces although there is one very short natural surface trail connecting to the RA trail system.
- The walk starts at the Glade Recreation Center parking lot. Take the wide asphalt trail at the back of the parking lot towards the tennis courts. The trail passes the back of the tennis courts after making several turns.
- The trail intersects with Old Trail Drive. Cross that street and follow the sidewalk on the left side of Shadbush Court to the end of that street.
- At the end of Shadbush Court take the wide asphalt trail down the hill between the houses.
- The trail crosses Old Trail Drive. Take the trail down a steep section of hill to the first trail intersection. Turn left onto that trail so that the houses will be on your left.
- The trail intersects with a trail from the left. Turn right to walk towards the stream.
- The trail intersects with a trail from the left. Turn right to follow the stream behind the houses on the left.
- After traveling through a cleared area behind the homes the trail turns to the left and intersects a trail from the left. Turn right so that the houses continue to be on your left and the stream on your right.
- A trail intersects from the left. Continue to the right on the present trail.
- A trail intersects from the left. Turn left to walk between the homes.
- The trail intersects with Middle Creek Lane. Cross that street and take the sidewalk on the left side of Glade Bank Way up the hill to the end of that street.
- Upon reaching Glade Drive turn right and follow the sidewalk along that street. Notice the sign indicating that you have entered Deepwood.
- Turn right and follow the sidewalk along Charterhouse Circle.
- Turn right and follow the sidewalk along Horseferry Court.
- At the end of Horseferry Court turn left and follow the asphalt path down the hill and across the bridge over the stream. After crossing the bridge turn right and follow the natural surface trail along the right side of the tennis courts.
- The back end of the tennis courts marks the end of Deepwood. Turn right onto the wide asphalt trail on the backside of the tennis courts. The trail will turn to the left and cross Snakeden Branch.
- Turn right at the next wide asphalt trail. The houses should be on your left.
- Turn right at the next wide asphalt trail. The houses should continue to be on your left. Continue past the narrow asphalt trail climbing the hill towards the houses on the left.
- A wide asphalt trail intersects from the right. Continue straight on the present trail.
- The trail enters a grassy clearing and a narrow asphalt trail intersects from the left. Turn right and continue on the wide asphalt trail. Continue past the next narrow asphalt trail going between the homes on the left.
- A wide asphalt trail intersects from the left. Continue straight past this and the next wide asphalt trail from the left. The woods should remain on your right side and buildings on your left.
- Several wide asphalt trails intersects from the left. Turn to the right and keep woods on your right.
- The trail crosses Snakeden Branch. After crossing the bridge take the next wide asphalt trail to the left. Now homes will be on your right and woods on your left.
- An asphalt trail intersects from steps on the right. Continue straight on the present trail.
- A wide asphalt trail intersects from a tunnel on the left. Continue straight up the hill on the present trail.
- The trail arrives back at the Glade Recreation Center.
